Summer, playgrounds and kids: It’s a magic combination of exercise, social interaction and just plain fun. The last thing any of us want to see is a child injured while at a playground. But unfortunately it happens nearly 200,000 times a year. The good news, as we discuss in this month’s newsletter, is that adults can play a key role in preventing playground injuries. Inspect playground equipment and report shoddy maintenance to school or park leadership. Then supervise your kids while they play.
